Odd Girl Out is a Drama Webtoon Original created by Morangji in 2015. It began being published on English Webtoon in 2018. It updates on Tuesdays on English Webtoon and on Mondays on Naver Webtoon.
A web drama adaptation called The World of MY 17 aired in 2020. A second season of the web drama aired in 2021. There is also a mobile game adaption of the series.
Synopsis[]
After a successful winter break makeover, Nari is finally ready for her high school debut. But somehow, she ends up friends with the three prettiest girls in school! Follow Nari as she tries to navigate her brand new high school life surrounded by beauties.

Nari Oh[]
Nari is an 18-year-old girl. Her hair is naturally straight, but she gets a perm periodically throughout the story. Her hair proves to be a big problem for her. She is approached on her first day of high school by her childhood friend, Yuna Lim. Later, she gives a cookie ("An item guaranteed to make friends") to Seonji Lim, who sits right in front of her in her class. Afterwards, Yuna comes to her class to take her to lunch, and she is joined by Mirae Seo, a girl that Yuna used to know and "she kept following me around". They go off to lunch, and Nari's confidence crumbles because the three girls are the prettiest girls in school.
Yuna Lim[]
Yuna is Nari’s childhood friend. She is 18, rich, and very beautiful. She seems cold at first sight and doesn’t like to be associated with other teenagers other than Nari. She can be blunt and doesn’t mind saying what’s on her mind. But when she was a child, Nari would always stick to her. Even though she used Nari when they were children, they became very close friends. She always try to protect Nari although she acts coldly by times. Although she seems detached, she enjoys the company of her new, and old, friends. As the story progresses you learn to love and laugh at this stuckup beauty.
Seonji Lim[]
Seonji is beautiful and a huge sweetheart; unfortunately, she is intellectually challenged, and has an IQ of 94. Seonji is actually very outgoing, but had to deal with jealous bullies who spread rumours about her, cutting her off from a lot of people and making her seem like a terrible pretty girl. She really only wants the best for everyone and never puts herself before someone else. She likes baking and wears her hair in pigtails.
Mirae Seo[]
Mirae Seo's birthday is on July 6th. Mirae is a mixed beauty, and is half Korean. Nobody knows what race her father is, but he was said to be from Germany. Although Mirae has a gorgeous face, She is known for her beautiful body and long legs. She used to have long blond hair that she tied in a ponytail, but it was later revealed that her hair was dyed and she later cut it shorter. Episode 94 we learn that Mirae has Gastritis. As for her personality, Mirae has great spirit and cracks a joke whenever she can. She’s a supportive kind soul with a dark past that she still struggles to get through even in the present. Her loving and carfeee personality is what makes her....her! She likes drawing.
Seungha Kwon[]
A potential love interest for Nari Oh introduced in Season 2. He is foreshadowed in Chapter 40 - THE AND at the end of the episode, as well as in other episodes in Season 1. He is officially introduced in the Prologue of Season 2. He is tall and has black hair (which Nari likes). He is a sophomore and the Class President of Class 5. Seungha and Nari join the PR Department where their relationship blossoms and develop a mutual crush. Unfortunately, Seungha is hiding his issues from Nari and breaks up with her as to not get her involved in his problems.
Chanyang Joo[]
Another potential love interest for Nari Oh introduced in Season 2. Chanyang is first seen on a city bus with Nari and Seungha in Episode 1 of Season 2. Chanyang is tall and blond. He is a sophomore, in Class 1, and is Nari's deskmate. Chanyang comes to like Nari due to her kind gestures towards him.
