Synopsis[]
Bree — a Dragonspeaker — receives a message from an ancient, dying dragon that sets her on a perilous journey. Now with the world losing balance, Bree must unite her team of young knights and save the dragon before it's too late...
Characters[]
Bree Abayomi[]
Believed to be last practitioner of Dragonspeak, and the protagonist of Here There Be Dragons. She is a passionate, curious and nerdy transgender woman who receives the message of a dying dragon in one of her dreams, and is tasked with finding it at the edge of the world (Accompanied by delegates from all the surrounding kingdoms) before it's too late. She comes from the Gold Kingdom, where she acted as a Scholar.
Falin[]
The masked stranger working as a spy for the Silver King. Little else is known about him, but he seems to be able to commune with spirits of old warriors, and has some sort of power over Undersiders.
Kaya[]
Delegate from the Quartz Kingdom. A mischievous and talkative archer engaged to Axe, and Bree's best friend. She is a transgender woman. Her body is painted in Imahi, a light blue magical compound that originates from the Quartz kingdom and allows her to medically transition. In Episode 22, it is hinted Kaya was once part of Quartz' military service, though she mostly complained about it. Her upbeat personality and dexterity with explosives wins over the affections of the bounty hunter Alexandria, though Kaya doesn't reciprocate right away.
Axe[]
Delegate from the Quartz Kingdom. Formally known as "Axe Of Divine Retribution, May The Enemies Of Quartz Live In Fear." (With punctuation.) A serious and focused archer engaged to Kaya. He is a transgender man. His body is painted in Saxpa, a thick green magical paste that originates from the Quartz Kingdom and allows him to medically transition, after a 3-hour meditation period in which the paint dries. In Episode 22, it is hinted Axe met Kaya through Quartz' military service.
Demetrius[]
Delegate from the Iron Kingdom. Colloquially known as "Dem". A friendly and rambunctious fighter covered in magical dark red tattoos, which activate the power of a great hammer during fights. He trains Bree on the basics of combat during the early days of their road trip, and seemingly enjoys fishing.
Adrian[]
Delegate from the Silver Kingdom. Of the house of Dignity, Glory and Modesty. Third of his name, son to the Silver King, sixth in line to the throne. Adrian is initially uptight and secretive, but soon warms up to the rest group, though not much else is known about him.
Ragamuffin[]
Colloquially known as "Rags". An old acquaintance of Bree, and student of Wanderlabs. It goes by it/its pronouns, something that made it a target among its peers. Bree and Rags knew each other from a young age, and were part of each other's transition. However, as they grew up, Bree's popularity increased (as she made an effort to be more well-liked) while Rags wasn't accepted by her new friends. In Episode 29, it is revealed the square gold hairpiece Bree wears was gifted to her by Ragamuffin, with a carved message inside.
Alexandria[]
A goofy self aggrandizing bounty-hunter working for Ragamuffin, tasked with retrieving its lost Gold Kingdom Weaponry. She helps the group to deal with some loud-mouthed road bandits and quickly develops a crush on Kaya.
