Synopsis[]
Welcome to Wellenberg, Meuracevia at the turn of the 19th century. The fate of Serenity Hotel, an opulent hotel in the nation’s capital, is delicate as its headstrong heiress Serena and her stern husband Eiser struggle to turn its fortune around. Their loveless marriage of convenience takes a twisted turn following Serena’s jealous attachment to her stoic and handsome servant, Frederick. At a time when happiness takes a back seat to one’s sense of duty, will Serena be able to protect her love and ensure the survival of her family and her business?
Characters[]
Serena Serenity[]
Serena is the main character. She married Eiser so that he would be able to manage the hotel she inherited from her grandmother, as she herself had not learnt business. Their marriage is not a happy one, and her affair with Frederick is widely known among the public. She is described to have long wavy black hair which she straightens because she likes it better when her hair is straightened. She has a small build but appears taller because she wears high heels quite often. Everyone who meets her describes her as extremely beautiful and stunning.
Eiser Leinz Grayan[]
Eiser Leinz Grayan is the male lead and Serena's contractual husband, a man of complexity and depth. He presents a cold exterior and often maintains a distant personality. Despite their misunderstandings and the toxic dynamics of their relationship, Eiser takes on the role of Serena's teacher. His motive is that he sees Serena as a potential ally to help manage Serenity, allowing him to focus on the construction of another branch of the enterprise.
Physically, Eiser is an imposing figure. Serena's descriptions paint him as a man with a large build, marked by his huge physique. He stands tall, his long fingers, neck, arms, and legs contributing to his masculine and dominant presence. His physical attributes are robust and powerful, mirroring his inner strength and resilience (Ch. 77). Adding to his appearance are Eiser's bright, icy blue eyes, as mentioned by Serena (Ch. 67).
Frederick Bloom[]
Serena's bodyguard and love affair. She hired him to protect her against Eiser. Frederick first approached Serena with bad intentions, but when they spent more together he found himself falling for her.
Iansa Serenity[]
Iansa Serenity is Serena's grandmother, and the founder of Serenity Hotel. She forced Serena to marry Eiser so that he could manage the hotel. The reason why she and Eiser made a agreement is so far unknown
Sui[]
Sui is Serena's personal secretary. She often stands in Serena's place as the art collector Sera.
Raul[]
Raul is Eiser's personal secretary.
Lovis Lowitz[]
One of Eiser's best friend.
