Synopsis[]
King Karloi of Croisen finds himself at odds with his position in life. His wife’s father, Duke Deluah, is angling for the throne, and as an outsider to the family, Karloi fears for his position. His frustrations have affected his marriage, though he finds himself questioning his cold approach to his wife, Evonne. He may no longer recognize her, but Evonne saved his life long ago, and was his first love. Evonne, real name Lillian Rue, is the illegitimate daughter of Duke Deluah, and wife of King Karloi. She saved Karloi's life when they were younger, forming a friendship with him. However, the Duke had a magician put a spell on her, so she cannot tell the King any of the Duke's plans or what happened.
Karloi Croitan[]
Karloi Croitan, the King of Croisen, was abused by Hans Deluah as a child and thus hates the Duke of Deluah. However, the Duke forces him to marry his daughter Evonne, who he dislikes because of her bloodline and her eyes that resemble her father's eyes. Thus, he removes the queen's powers and begins a contract relationship with Kiana.
